The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and support women in the field. This annual one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a broad set of domains. All genders are invited to attend the conference, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work.

Deepti Varma leads HR for Amazon Corporate teams in India and the Middle East. In her 8 years of association with Amazon, She has been a part of the organization’s growth in India. Her core areas of expertise include leadership coaching, talent management, workforce planning and organizational design. Prior to Amazon, Deepti was employed as Director - Human Resources with Dr. Reddy Laboratories heading Corporate HR and Talent Acquisition globally. Before joining Dr. Reddy’s, Deepti led Human Resources initiatives at organizations such as NIIT, Eternit Everest and Unitech. Deepthi Ravula is the CEO for WEHUB, Government of Telangana initiative to promote foster Women Entrepreneurship.She was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Telangana.
She has done her engineering from Hyderabad and has attended graduate school at CSU, San Diego. She has 14 years of experience working California, USA in area of Communications. She was the Joint Director for Electronics (Business and Semiconductor) for the State of Telangana from 2016-18
Prior to joining the Department of Electronics, Deepthi had worked in Nokia, San Diego designing Audio Acoustic Circuits. She did protocol design at Palm Inc. in Sunnyvale, Atheros in Santa Clara, Qualcomm and Litepoint (Teradyne) in Sunnyvale. In her roles, she has worked on Audio Acoustic Design, Cellular Technologies all the way from GSM to VoLTE, Connectivity technologies such as BT, WIFI, NFC, ZigBee. She worked as an RF application engineer AE, handling all Pre-and Post-sales support, Technical Marketing, Business Development. She was involved in training customers ranging from PRC(China), India, Europe, South America to USA.
She is an ardent advocate for women in STEM and also conceptualized a networking series at WE Hub for early career women professionals for continuation of women in the workface.
